Junior Winter Teams

Attached are the teams for the upcoming winter season.
We are looking for extra players in some of the younger age groups to allow us to split our teams into two as there are too many players or too many rep points.
We have tried to accomodate all requests and also to cater for families with children playing in several teams. We have also tried to make the teams as equal but competitive as possible.
Grand Final success
Apr 3rd
Congratulations to the U12W1 Kook Katz and the U18W Slammerz for their Grand Final wins last weekend. Well done to all of the girls and the coaches.
The U18Men Magic and U16W On the Rack were also Grand Finalists but unfortunately were not successful on the day.
Winter season begins Friday 20th April and Saturday 21st April. Teams will be posted shortly
Level 0 Coach course
Apr 3rd
The next Level 0 coach course will be conducted by Jarrod Moore and Daniel Fischer on Friday 20th April 6-9pm or Saturday 28th April 10.30-1.30pm at St Dominics College Kingswood. Cost $15.00 per person
A minimum of 7 participants is required for these coursed to go ahead.
All coaches must hold a Level 0 certificate to coach in the Penrith association competitions. Registration form below.
Draft Summer Teams

Please find attached our draft summer teams and coaches . These teams and division may change as most clubs are struggling to finalise teams due to many requests from individuals and the uncertainty of the standard of the teams and competitions.
We have tried to accomodate everyone as best we can. If you have any concerns you may email Deb Jeffreys on djeffreys1@bigpond.com or Leonie on penrithbasketball@people.net.au but remember we are only human.
Rep Camp 4th and 5th October 2011

Preparing for the upcoming rep trials? Here’s your best way to make sure you know the drills to do your best when it comes to making a team for the 2012 season.
The course will be ran on Tuesday the 4th and Wednesday the 5th of October. There’s a flyer attached below but you will want to make sure you register early as last holidays we saw 80 participants. We’ve opened it up this time to 100.
There will be local and guest coaches, including NSW and ex-NBL Coach Mark Watkins.

Summer Season 2011

Junior Summer basketball is just around the corner and the silly season begins with some players going up an age group and teams to be formed. Most teams should have recieved a form to complete so that we know who is playing next season and how our teams may take shape. The club will try to accomodate all players into a suitable division or with some mates. Sometimes due to ages/ability or the rep. rule we cannot please everyone but we will try our best. More >

In selecting the teams we have, where possible, acceded to the requests of individual players. Unfortunately we cannot always accommodate these requests. Reasons for this include the need to comply with Penrith & Districts Basketball Association By-Laws for the competition.
Please be supportive of the Coaches and Team Mangers that have volunteered or been asked to assist with the teams for the Winter 2011 season and remember these people volunteer their time and energy to assist the club and your children.
All positions with in the Club including the Committee, Coaches and Team Managers are on a volunteer basis.
